The Ipswich & District Radio Club has had a sister club for a number of years. Back in 2011, a visit from a Maple Ridge Amateur Radio club member, VA7BZ Mike, set the ball rolling to establish a joint collaboration between our two clubs.

Maple Ridge Amateur Radio Club resides in Pitt Meadows British Columbia Canada. The club was formed in 1964, so it has a similar age to our own club.

Recently contact between the two clubs was re-established via an IRLP hookup, and a good meeting between the various club members ensued. Ipswich club members are encouraged to contact the Maple Ridge members anytime, on IRLP via Node # 1910.
