AUSTRALIA DAY CONTEST Thursday / FRIDAY 25th / 26TH OF JANUARY 2024
The WIA Australia Day Contest taking place on Thursday / Friday 25th & 26th of January 2024.

So the contest will commence at 22:00 hours UTC on the 25th January 2024 and finishing at 10:00 hours UTC on the 26th January 2024.

This will give all VK call areas a full 12 hours of AX prefix use at the same time.

The rules are derived from the RD so you can think of it as a Summer RD. Alan VK4SN and Trent VK4TS brainstormed the concept and presented it to the WIA board.

Dust off those fancy 2X1 Contest callsigns and be ready for a heap of different calls on the band – Remember any VK prefix call can take AX on Australia Day.

We are also locking in Anzac Day April 25th for a repeat performance.
